Hey, friends! We just returned from a trip to Amsterdam and Iceland. First, I wanted to share some of Emma’s and my snapshots from Amsterdam. We spoke at a conference called Meet The Blogger and had a great time meeting inspiring women! The next few days after that we took our time to enjoy Amsterdam. We stayed in an Airbnb in the Jordaan area and basically walked everywhere. We went to flea markets, flower markets and ate some delicious Dutch food. Also, WOW, the strongest coffee I have ever had in my life. Haha!
Anyway! Here are a few snaps from our trip—
I always stop for yellow doors (and pink!).
We found the CUTEST bar! Hiding in Plain Sight
We loved it so much we went twice. The second time with our friend, Carrie, who was randomly in Amsterdam at the same time as us! #memories
Honestly, just walking around was our favorite part. We had so much fun just exploring and drinking tiny (VERY STRONG) coffees.
New rule, when you have several days off, you should ALWAYS make time for Matt Damon.
We really enjoyed our time in Amsterdam! It’s a beautiful city with so much to explore. I wish we would have had more days to venture to other cities, but maybe next time.
LOVE YOU, AMSTERDAM! xx- Elsie + Emma too
Amazing photographs of you in my home county. I wish I were there to run in to you 😀 hihi
Looks like you had a great time. Tuesday is my day! Marseille-Amsterdam!

I love Amsterdam!! I’ve only been there once but I can’t wait to go back! It’s such a beautiful city to stroll around, and there are some amazing museums (the Van Gogh Museum in particular was well worth the hefty entrance fee). I wrote about more of the highlights on my blog: http://solongusa.blogspot.de/2014/11/amsterdam.html
Ah, you captured my city so well! Amsterdam loves you too 🙂 Keep up the good work. xo Silvia
Amsterdam looks so adorable and perfect!

love Amsterdam, visited in Summer 2013 and looking forward to returning next spring. Thanks for sharing such beautiful photos!!!
We love you too! I am so sad I missed that conference. I hope you’ll be back one day. I’d love to have another chance to meet you guys.
Oh yes you guys should really come back and visit other cities too!! <3
Ha! I am equally surprised by the coffee culture… but in an opposite way! I just moved from Europe (Prague – definitely worth a visit as well!) to the US and I simply cannot get over the size (massive) and strength (or rather weakness) of coffees over here. Anyway, as an avid ABM reader, I am happy to finally be at the same continent as you guys!
You look lovely! 🙂 I’ve been in Amsterdam long time ago – beautiful city. Full of amazing people. Would love to go there again..
gorgeous photos 🙂
I so want to visit Amsterdam, hopefully one day.
yes, dutch coffee is strong, just the way we like it! That’s why I always find an ‘americano’ in the states like ‘weak tea water'(I’ve now moved to Sweden where the coffee is even stronger!)
So nice and strange at the same time, that you girls who I am reading for years walking through my country! Next time visit Utrecht, even more relaxed and equally beautifull!
Amsterdam is great, but the next time you come to The Netherlands, you should also visit Rotterdam. It’s amazing in its architecture, the old and modern buildings site by site and it’s so multicultural. You will really love it too.
This whole post is soon inspiring! Thank you for finding pops of color in our everyday life/world! This blog is so inspiring! I love the adventure that you portray in your posts! xoxo Sam and Kate Design
