Today we’re super excited to share photos and decor from this year’s Friendsgiving feast!
Friendsgiving is our favorite blog tradition for the past four years. We started it because Emma wanted to cook up a bunch of Thanksgiving recipes for the blog, but it felt too sad to make all the wonderful dishes without throwing a party too. So we’ve been doing “early Thanksgiving” with a group of friends ever since!
Today I’m here to share the decor and photos from our lunch together. Then over the next few weeks, we’ll share all the recipes in preparation for Thanksgiving (spoiler alert- you’re going to want to make Emma’s new stuffing recipe. It’s incredible!)
For the buffet table, I picked out a bunch of paper party goods and balloon alphas from Oh Happy Day Party Shop. Our color scheme was lots of pinks, wine red and peaches.
My favorite festive detail this year was the eucalyptus wreaths that Laura and I whipped up. They were so easy to make and made the lunch feel like more of a special event.
The best part of Friendsgiving is the friends! I’m scrapbooking all these photos.
Just imagine Janelle Monae’s Yoga playing in the background…you know, for context.
I hope you enjoyed these photos from our Friendsgiving. It was fun to host it at our new home for the first time (it was actually our first dinner or party in general- so a pretty great way to kick that off). I hope this tradition lasts forever because it’s my absolute favorite.
We’ll be back soon with recipes on top of recipes to inspire your Thanksgiving plans. I made a cranberry margarita that turned out so tart and amazing. Can’t wait for you to taste it!
Do you have any go-to tips for decorating your Thanksgiving dinner space? As you can see here, it doesn’t have to be insanely elaborate or expensive. A few color-coordinated details can add a LOT to your celebration. xx- Elsie

This will be the 12th year our friends have had a Friendsgiving dinner (usually the Saturday after thanksgiving), with anything but turkey on the menu. Your friendsgiving is way more stylish than ours, haha.
