Jello shots are hilarious! We love them and have quite the archive of novelty yummy jello shot concoctions. I had fun dreaming up a way to make something summery (see here) fit the Thanksgiving theme. Cranberry sauce-inspired jello shots? Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. We tried it and they turned out so cute and festive!
Cranberry Jello Shots Recipe, makes 20
Cranberry juice cocktail
Cranberry Jell-O Mix (one 3 ounce package)
Orange vodka
Heat 2 1/4 cup cranberry juice until it boils, pour in bowl and mix in jello until dissolved. Add 3/4 cup orange vodka and pour into shot cups. Put in fridge to set overnight.
To make “virgin” jello shots, simply pour some of the jello into cups before adding vodka. We made a few for the kiddos attending our party!
To garnish, cut small pieces of rosemary and roll fresh cranberries in honey and sugar. Add them to the top of each shot after they’ve set. Be sure to tell your guests that they don’t have to eat the garnishes (although, some of my guests did anyway, ha!)
I gave a little toast to Emma at the beginning of our Friendsgiving party. She works so hard at these recipes every year. It’s inspiring and I hope you enjoy them here on the blog all week! We can’t wait to see your instagrams and tweets on Thanksgiving day. Sharing recipes is one of our biggest passions. Now… who wants a jello shot? 😉 You can serve them in regular shot glasses or you can use cute little glitter cups like these to serve them in and we love to serve them on a pretty wooden serving board as well…
Cheers! Elsie

I found cranberry jello at a Walmart, they even had the great value brand. So, I just made these and they are currently in the fridge, waiting for them to turn into jello. The recipe calls for 2 1/4 cups of cranberry juice right? Not 2 – 1/4 cups of cranberry juice? Alot of people here said they were going to try this recipe, but couldn’t find anyone that actually made them. Seemed like a lot of liquid for 1 pack of jello and wanted to make sure I didn’t misunderstand and just messed them up. Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving!!! I love your blog but i just wanted to let you know I tried 4 grocery stores and none sold cranberry jello mix for the cranberry Jell-O shot recipe you have listed! 🙁 I substituted it for orange jello but maybe it should be listed this is a seasonal item and difficult to come by 🙁 either way your blog is amazing and I hope you have a happy holiday!!
Hey Thanks Elsie for this lovely Jello shots, I tried it after Cod with Salsa! Great Taste! Great experience!
Oh, and I found the CUTEST little tiny silver (plastic) spoons at Dollar Tree when I bought the shot glasses there. They are soooo perfect!
My cousin brought them to Thanksgiving and then I just took them to a work party over the weekend. I had to send the link to five people this morning. Totally fun, yummy, and elegant.
Not sure where you were looking, but I got mine at Fred Meyer?
We made these Jello shots for Thanksgiving at our house this year and they were such a huge hit! We loved them! SO easy to make, and YUM YUM YUM – MAYBE too good! LOL
I wrote a post that included a link because I wanted to help spread the word!
I bought some off Amazon since I am determined to make these for my Christmas party!
I can’t find it either. 🙁 Checked multiple groceries. Going to try it with raspberry jello instead and see how that goes…
Any idea what grocery stores have cranberry JELLO? haven’t had any luck finding that flavor so far. 🙁

love this – can’t wait to use it at my day-after-turkey-day party this year 😉
I’m a server and my co-workers and I do a Friendsgiving every year considering most of us have to work on Thanksgiving and miss it with our families. The host makes the turkey and everyone else brings their favorite Thanksgiving dish of our own and a bottle of wine to share. As you may (or may not) know, servers like to have a good time, these festive jello-o shots are going to be a hit at our friendsgiving this year! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Fun idea for parties! But would try to replace Jell-O with something healthier…
I so want one! Your friends and family are so lucky to have you! So much fun and goodness all the time. I would totally be thankful!
I loooove jello shots! I have a tough time doing shots because hard liquor doesn’t go down smoothly for me unless it’s in a cocktail. Jello shots somehow make it easier, I guess.
I do love cranberry, so I think I’ll give this a… (wait for it) … shot!
