Over the weekend Elsie started experimenting with different margarita flavors. I had the pleasure of trying out this cucumber margarita and it was so delicious! The addition of cucumber juice made this cocktail super refreshing without being overly sweet.
Cucumber Margarita, makes one serving
1 shot (1.5 to 2 oz.) tequila
1 shot (1.5 to 2 oz.) triple sec
juice from one lime
juice from 1-2 cucumbers (Elsie used her juicer)
honey and pink sea salt for garnishCoat the rim of a small to medium size glass with honey then dip in sea salt. Fill the glass 2/3 full with ice. Pour in the shots, lime juice and top off with cucumber juice. Give the drink a stir and garnish with a lime slice.
If you want to sweeten your margarita try adding a little sour mix or simple syrup. Enjoy! xo. Emma + Elsie

yes! 1 cucumber makes enough juice for each drink (maybe a little more- depending on your glass!)

I can’t decide what I love more–the color or the idea. Traditional margaritas are great, but I love to mix it up too. Mango is my go-to flavor, but I’m definitely going to have to try out this recipe.

Great photography. The green looks so refreshing and beautiful and I imagine very very cooling. My friend recently mentioned that she had made some mocktails for her mother’s group – some mums were pregnant and she used cucumber and ginger beer…the reviews were refreshing…but for those who don’t have to worry…I am happy with your version 🙂 xxx

What a unique use of a juicer! It sounds like it would be delicious with jalapeno simple syrup too:

These are gorgeous! I love how absolutely GREEN they are, and it’s not from dyes. Lovely. I must try these.
DROOL! I like lemon flavors with cucumber, so I’d skip the honey and coat the rim with lemon/lime juice but this sounds suuuuper tasty!
