i found this living room in one of our vintage Better Homes & Gardens magazines. it's beyond perfect. I love the color story! What are your favorite inspiration sources for home decor?

ooooh super love this. it looks so warm and cozy. i adore the color palette.
the orange ceiling is super fun!
I love looking in children’s stores for home accessories. I love the uninhibited use of color that kid’s rooms have, and I always find inspiration in their decor.

That’s such a fun room! I love to decorate with black and white. And anything Audrey Hepburn. 🙂
I signed up!! Can’t wait!
I miss Domino magazine for inspiration:(

Definitely vintage Better Home & Gardens! My school library has the entire back catalogs hidden on their shelves. I have been known to get lost in it for hours!
I really wish that I was good with home decor. Right now my room is really plan and has been that way for a year 🙁
i LOVE that dining set!! I am probably most inspired by PeeWee’s playhouse! I love whimsical!!

I would love to do it, not just now before Christmas, it is too much going on!
My favorurite decoration is Designers Guild! I have just decorated three rooms with wallpaper, I love it! Have a great day!
That is an awesome picture! I would have never guessed it was a vintage pic – its crazy how trends come, and go, then come right back around again! I love the colors!
Ever think about opening a store in England Elsie? I’m so sad your all the way in the states! x

gosh…i don’t even like carpet, but this home is dreamy! I’d never want to leave…
the only thing that would make it better is if that dining room were covered with polaroid shots of good times you and your family and friends shared together (I actually thought that’s what it was but realized that a polaroid wasn’t so cool and hip back then…)
Love this! My inspiration for home decor is a little bit of antique and a little bit of dreamy all thrown together.
These colors are similar to what I have in my home I really love the colors of the 70s burnt orange, avocado, and harvest gold mixed with shades of chocolate and cream! Most people are not fond of these colors (i.e. anything on HGTV) but I have found that makes it much easier to shop for things for my home 🙂 I love vintage interiors please share more that you enjoy!
Wow that room is amazing. The colors are just perfect.
i love the mix of colors of the throw pillows. i honestly don’t look at home decor at all – i just find pieces that i like and build around that (like antique school maps, library cabinets, and children’s chalkboards).
I really like Frank Llyod Wright’s stuff, especially this (the interior pictures are towards the bottom of the post):

It’s too rad!
Yes, i love the colorful pillows. This make home more loving and warmly.
It’s funny how much styles come back around. This could easily be a feature in a magazine today. 🙂 Love it.
gorgeous room, has a modern 70s feel to it
THE CEILINGS!!!!!!!! Ohhh my goodness.
That house is totally your style. It’s gorgeous!
So funny how vintage style becomes fashionable once more – this looks like it could be from a ‘modern’ mag, rather than one from yesteryear. Needless to say, it is very cool and groovy. I can imagine the walls in a chocolate-fudge suedette finish – all you would need is the long flowing kaftan dress… 😀 …Your new class is on my list for Santa 😉
I love the orange chair! I totally have a thing for chairs… had a nice yellow one once.
Just wondering… is your Blog course self-paced? I did not see a start date!
YEAH! Love the cute pic….also can’t wait to read through the Blog love course! I’m super duper excited!
**Also not sure if this is happening to other people but I can’t see your banner anymore or cute profile pic on the left. FYI. 🙂
What a lovely room!
Oh, man, I need to sign up! I am (finally) launching a blog in January and I know your advice would be golden. I better get on it!
