Elsie’s Holiday Record Corner

Holiday Record CornerHoliday Record CornerWe just set up our new tiny record table in the corner of our living room. It's perfect for listening to holiday records while we're eating dinner or baking in the kitchen. The metal table is a recent thrift find that will probably be getting a new coat of paint in the near future. 🙂 Hope you are having a wonderful week. Back to wrapping presents for me… xo. Elsie

*Our turntable was provided by ModCloth. You can find it here

  • So beautiful!

  • Everything looks great!!! It all works out together, Id say leave the table like is…it gives it the whole concept its “vintage” look! 😉

  • That looks great and I am waiting for Christmas. It would be sooo soon. Have a great day.

  • I’ve been displaying my She and Him Christmas album next to our turntable. We have a display rack that we switch out for the season/holiday/whenever we get a new record that we want to show off. I love the idea; it’s an easy way to be festive!

  • You just transported me somewhere in my mind I didn’t know existed. It’s like a comfy, cozy world of music and good memories. What a beautiful little corner of the world!

  • I love this idea of putting a record player in the dining room! I have my eye on the blue version from Modcloth.

  • Elsie- you probably already know this but that’s actually a sewing machine cart! I gave my grandmother’s Singer Sewing Machine from the 1950s and its sitting on the same style cart!

  • love the recordplayer! especially the colour! 🙂

  • Elsie- Can you tell us what model of full-size Crosley you have. I really want a stand alone record player with good sound!
Thanks for the table idea.I think that’s an old fold-down type-writer table.

  • Thanks for your reply, Elsie!! I was THISCLOSE to buying it tonight in Modcloth but guess what? My husband bought & brought me home a B E A UTIFUL vintage cabinet style!! Yippee!!! We listened to Bing (he’s THE BEST), Elvis & the Chipmunks 😉

  • so cute ! Check out my new post: http://www.thestilettoholic.com/2012/12/20/window-shopping-place-vendome/ ‎

  • I love it! It looks so warm and wintery 🙂

I have a question for you and Emma: Can you show us your iPhone case collection? 🙂

  • i saw this on instagram the other and was the most jealous! my record player is tucked into a corner as well, but not nearly as cute. ugh. have to revisit that ficus tree.

  • cute corner indeed! Love it..vintage always seems to work everywhere 🙂

  • Wow, what a coincidence. I have that table, except in green, and just set it up the other day intending to use it as a record stand since I’m getting a new player for Christmas. 😉

  • So cute!
I would love to get some Christmas records.

  • love your blog as well as your post! the record player is so cute! Feel free to check out my blog www.w-t-fab.com

  • I want a record corner like that!! 🙂

  • That table is absolutely perfect for it! So cute.
    Those garlands are something, yeah?

  • Hey Elsie, I’m in the market for a record player, and I keep reading a bunch of mixed reviews over Crosley. So, I thought I’d ask you, and then I saw this post! Yay! I figured you or Jeremy would know what you are talking about. Thanks!

  • Ooh I love the colour of the turntable. And the little birdie is a cute idea 🙂 I’m gift wrapping a lot today too

Here’s my ideas for vintage gift wrapping:

    Cathy x
    Turquoise Flamingo

  • It’s always a pleasure to look at your house, Elsie! It’s so beautiful, I’m jealous. Enjoy your holidays xoxo

  • I love the table, and the turntable. This is such a cute little corner! I can hear christmas songs playing in my head as I type. Also, cooking along to music is so much fun 🙂

  • I just got a record player as well, and I cannot figure out for the life of me the best way to store the records. milk crates? a bookshelf? i’m stumped. I do love that little table!

  • LOVE the vintage table!!! i say keep it as is! :O)

I have it pinned and now I’m going to make sure I find something similar!

  • I love this little area! It looks darling! The little bird adds a nice touch too! 🙂

  • I love this idea! Vintage, yet workable for today.

  • Angie- I would recommend getting the best turntable you have the budget for. This one is great for the price (which is pretty awesome!). I also have the full size Crosley and it’s, of course, a little better. 🙂 XO!

  • This looks so cozy! I love the gold strings above!

  • Oh I so want a CROSLEY to play all my mums 80s records!

  • That is so cute. I’m loving her metal table–what a great thrift find! There’s nothing better than listing to music on Christmas day, and enjoying the people you love.

  • this is just too perfect. what a beautiful space! and the record player is totally rad. i’m definitely down for a little christmas with bing during dinner 🙂

  • We just finished setting up our record stations too – Christmas music especially sounds better on vinyl!

    xx Ashleigh

  • I’ve had my eye on that turntable for a while now. I think listening to records at night with my husband would be so wonderful.

  • Hi Elsie!! I have a quick question…are you pleased with the sound you get from this turntable? I’m in the market for a new one :). Thank you!!!

  • I love it! I just bought a record player for my husband (ahemMEahem) and I can’t wait to use it! And I thoroughly believe it’s not Christmas without Bing.
