Art journaling is a forever passion in my life. Today we're teaming up with Canon USA to share a simple, but fully customizable way, to make art journal pages that hang on your walls at home!
Old photos are my favorite photos. I feel lucky to have a big collection of old family photos, and I am always looking for fresh ways to display them in our home. Here's how I made these art journal inspired banners without damaging any original photos.Since these photos are pretty special to me, I knew I didn't want to use the original copies for the project. Plus, I wanted them all in black and white to match. So we used our MG7120 to scan the photos. And the Canon PIXMA Printing Solutions app let me choose to bring in the photos in black and white, regardless of whether they were in color. Then I blew them up just using Preview on my Mac and printed them on semi-gloss photo paper.
To create your own art journal banner, stitch the top of a piece of canvas paper to create a loop. Adhere a printed photo to the canvas and cut a triangle shape out of the bottom of the canvas to create a banner shape. The rest is easy (and SO fun!). Add paint, sequins, stitching, handwriting, drawings and anything that makes you smile. 😀Last, put sticks through the loops and tie string to both ends. Your banners are complete!
Now it's your turn! Dig out your favorite old photos and give them a fresh new life. xo. Elsie

Cute video!! I’d love to see more video tutorials like this one: short and sweet. By the way, what song is that? And where can I listen to the full version? Or was it made just for the video? Thanks, y’all! xx
