Happy Weekend! I'm excited to letcha know that early Monday morning I will be releasing a brand new e-course. It's called "Blog Love" and it focuses on inspiring and teaching bloggers to find their niche and take their blogs to the next level. There are sessions about time management, photography, marketing and simple ways to stand out and not get lost in a sea of blogs. It's packed with personal advise and stories… which is why it's taken me sooo long to write. I've enjoyed every minute and can't wait to share! Like my previous e-courses it will be reasonably priced with immediate access to all sessions. YAY! XO. elsie
PS. I'm compiling a list (on paper) of Holiday Gift DIY ideas. Any requests?

DIY request: monster hoodie/towel.
and what a fabulous idea for a class!
ooo I’m excited. I could use a little advice on how to make my blog a little more interesting. On the DIY note, I would love some handmade gift ideas for men. I have the hardest time trying to think of things I could make that my husband and dad would like.
sounds super fun!
This looks like such a fun and valuable e-course!
I would love to see some fun DIY ideas to make for husbands.
totally off topic but your tights are adorable!
I agree with the ideas for men. We never know what to get my FIL. I have a lil tut about handmade felt photo ornaments if anyone is interested too http://kitten91303.blogspot.com/2010/11/tuesday-to-do-felt-ornament.html
I can’t wait to see more about the ecourse, sounds right up my alley!
I’m also in favor for a DIY gift for the man in my life…so tough to come up with things…
i wish i could view the course material before hand. some of the things you’re planning on talking about sound like something i already have going/know and i’d hate to pay for something that wouldn’t be useful for me. i’m in college, so every penny counts, haha.
ooooh this sounds very interesting :))
xo.

Thanks for the support, everyone… i’m jotting down your DIY requests too. Elsie

I can’t wait to learn more about this e-course.

Oh, Elsie!
I DEF want to take this course!
a) it’s part of my 26 before I’m 27 [inspired by you] check it here: http://my2010ishere.blogspot.com/2010/11/my-26-before-turning-27-inspired-by.html
b) I’ve been accumulating ideas/photos/etc. for my upcoming 2011 blog, but I still have soooo many unanswered questions.
Request: something handmade for a burly, woodsy, but very sentimental mountain man!
any christmas home decorating posts coming to life soon? ๐
DIY gifts – MEN! I struggle like nobody’s business making something cool and quirky but not completely naff or pointless for my dad/brother/male friends. I think the fundamental problem is that it has to be USEFUL, not just pretty!
I can’t wait for Monday! I definitely want to take this course. I need some help with my blog…
I definitely want to take this class! Looking forward to learning more about it.
As for DIY, I’m also interested in gifts for men.
Yay! I’d love to get advice from my favorite blogger! ๐
Cute! I have a DIY request – something for the car to make it cute!! and just christmasy crafts in general!
Cute Christmas decoration DIYs would be great!!
I also agree with everyone else about the gifts for men and also cute baby gifts.
Can’t wait for the e-course!
I would love some DIY ideas for men. They are always so hard to shop for!

I agree, gifts for guys! And cool stuff for kiddos. From babies to preteen girls, I’ve got ’em!
Thanks, Elsie. This sounds great! I just started a new blog myself, and I’d love to get some know-how from an experienced blogger. Consider me signed up for the course!

im not sure if anyone mentioned this on the above comments but i wanted to to make homemade ornaments this year for my friends and family so if you have any creative diy ornaments ideas i would looove to see it.
Great course idea. If anyone knows about this topic – it’s you!
So excited about this course!!!
I know there are probably enough comments to encourage you to post a DIY for guys, but I want to add my vote in for that as well! I always have a really hard time trying to find a gift for my Dad, and my (hunter) step-dad. Funds are low this Christmas so I’d love to be able to make them both something. Can’t wait to see what you come up with ๐
love the idea for guy DIY’s, and also like to request little guy DIY’s. There are lots of little guy’s in my family and i’d like to get them something besides star wars and toy story…
I really want to know how you girls made that felt dollhouse board! That would be my request ๐
ps. Love your blog!
oh looking forward to it!
DIY holiday gift ideas – ornaments!!!
Cool!
I agree with “she hearts art” – DIY gifts for men!!
Elsie, I am so excited about this! I love your blog so much and every post of yours always brightens my day a little bit with your amazing photography and upbeat outlook. I’m hoping the course might have some graphic design pointers, and photo editing too, since that is what I struggle with most for my blog. As for DIY ideas…I think I’m going to echo everyone else here and ask for some man-gifts…I struggle so much with gifts for my dad, brother, and guy friends, I feel like all I ever do is knit them hats!
I’m so excited for your new e-course! I can’t wait to sign up! ๐
I agree with most of the other commenters… DIY man gifts would be awesome. It’s always so hard to find something to give them! I also would love to see some DIY Christmas ornaments and decorations – Elsie-style, that would be so cool! ๐
I was looking for diy gift ideas some weeks ago and found this website http://familyfun.go.com/christmas/ they also have a lot of diy decoration and ornaments.
this sounds interesting, do you recommend it for international bloggers, too? and do you advice on stuff like advertising ($$$) and law in it?
YES!!! There should be an auto-pay system for all your courses because every time you have a new one, I have to take it.
this is pretty much exactly what i need! xo
You should do d.i.y. stockings. There are endless possibilties!
Will there be any more Style School classes? ๐
Will this course work for me if I haven’t even started my blog yet? I’m so excited. Just today I wrote down the goal to have a blog by the New Year, and then I saw this post! Thank you!
Hi Elsie ๐
I’d love to see a post on cute diy holiday cards. This is the one thing that I keep stumbling over this year – I just can’t think of a great card idea.
Last week I did a tutorial on how to make your own personalized stocking. I think it’s a really cute project and it uses Photo Fabric and Richard Scarry illustrations (I kind of adore both). You can see it here:
http://www.mygirlthursday.com/2010/11/diy-personalized-stocking-tutorial.html
If you’re looking for a guest blogger during your handmade holiday series I’d love to make a stocking specially for your blog (consider it a thank you gift for the years of inspiration). I can always be reached at thursday @ mygirlthursday . com if you’d like to chat about it.
(PS Sorry to be kind of spammy. I looked and looked for an email address but I wasn’t able to find one. I hope this is okay – I never really do this sort of thing!)
Gifts for men!
Oooh, I’m super-excited for holidays DIYs! I LOVE the holidays, and making lots of gifts and decorations! ๐
P.S. I just I re-decorated my blog, and added a link to yours! Feel free to link to mine, too! I just added 3 buttons to choose from ๐

I’d love to see home decor DIY projects… I love your ideas and style ๐
Thanks a lot,
Efrat
i am very much looking forward to your course, photography/photoshop tips and how to get the word out and market your blog in particular, thanks! so exciting!!
sounds exciting, really. And you’re really a wonderful blogger.
Please please give some ideas for men! The only homemade gift idea I’ve found is cuff links. . .
I am thrilled that you’re offering a blog class!
I am doing a completely handmade Christmas this year for my kiddos & am stumped as to what I should make for my boys (almost ages 4 & 9). Any suggestions would be fabulous. Oh, & I know you’ve done a DIY dollhouse before. Can you do a tutorial please? My 6 year old princess is getting one this year.
Ideas for men! You can always make a pretty scarf or a clutch or a flower pin accessory for the girlies in your life, but why are dudes so so hard to make for! Any help would be fantastic!
.I so enjoyed every bit of this site and Iโve bookmarked your blog to keep up with the new topics you will post in the future.
