We thought it might be a good idea to put together a one-stop blog post about all the renovation details and decor of our holiday house. We are getting headed toward our two-year anniversary of owning this house, which feels just crazy to me. Time flies! I’m also going to link all the before and after room tours in case you want to learn more about what we did in each room other than the decor choices.
First up is the kitchen.
Appliances: Oven Range / Hood (similar here) / Refrigerator / Dishwasher / Microwave (similar here) + Cart.
Lower cabinets are shaker style and the countertops are quartz.
Sink Faucet / Pot Filler / Hardware Pulls and Knobs / Backsplash Tile / (similar here) / Ceiling Light /Â Wall Sconces.
Other details: Rug / Knife Set / Stand Mixer / Toaster.
This house has two living room spaces. First up, let’s check out the formal living room.
The wall paint color is Behr Cotton Sheets (same throughout the house except bathrooms). The light fixture is from Lucent Lightshop, and here’s the fireplace tile.
Decor details: Couch* / Coffee Table (similar here) / Chairs / Rug / Faux Fiddle Plant / Curtains and Pillows are from HomeGoods / Photo Above Fireplace / Julie Blackmon.
And just for fun, here is this space and others in the house during the holidays last year. Yes, there are three Christmas trees. Maybe I got a little carried away? Ha.
The dining room is located between the formal living room and kitchen. We actually haven’t shared a proper tour of this room, but you can see it best in this Friendsgiving post.
Decor details: Dining Table / Chairs are DIY / Hutch is thrifted / Wallpaper / Chandelier.
You can also see this room decorated with a skeleton dinner party for Halloween last year.
This house has three proper bedrooms. The main bedroom has an extra living space next to it, which is really cute.
Main bedroom details: Wallpaper (similar) / Bed Frame / Loveseat is no longer available, but here is similar one / Rug / Macrame Wall Hanging / Abstract Art / Missouri Art Print / Pouf / Bedding is from IKEA / Throw Pillows and Side Table from Home Goods.
Two upstairs bedrooms: Bed Frames* / Green Chalk Boards / Chairs* / Console Table / Missouri Art Print / Stairway Wallpaper / Macrame, Mirrors, and Throw Pillows from Home Goods / Bedding from IKEA.
The house also has this extra bedroom that could be a playroom (as we use it) or an office.
We had our contractor add the glass doors, and we found the vintage door knobs on eBay.
Decor details: Trundle Bed / Rug / Ceiling Fan / Small Picnic Table / Toy and Art Supply Cart / Bedding from IKEA / Curtains from TJ Maxx / Yellow Throw Pillow / Wooden School Chair and Rocking Horse are vintage.
We only renovated one of the three bathrooms in the home, which you can see more of here. But, many of the details in this room we used in the other bathrooms too (like the color/brand of faucets, etc.).
Room details: Floor Tile / Sink / Sink Faucet / Shower Kit (similar here) / Shower Faucet / Vanity Mirror is Vintage / Vanity Light Fixture / Ceiling Chandelier.
The holiday house has a second living room in the back of the house where we have a TV and piano. It’s kind of a “great room” because it’s so big!
Room details: Ceiling Fans / Sectional*Â / Coffee Table*Â / Rug (similar here) / Media Console*Â / Console Table / Wicker Chair (similar) / Wooden Folding Chair is Vintage / Piano was a Craigslist Find / Faux Fiddle Leaf / Throw Pillows from HomeGoods / Black and White Photos (old family photos I enlarged) / Wildflower Tapestry / State Flower Tapestry.
We also updated both the back porch as well as the front porch. The main thing we did on the front porch was add this cute polka dot tile.
Back porch details: Dining Table / Chairs / Rug / Rocking Chairs / Planters / Throw Pillows / Side Table / Lights
I think that’s pretty much everything, but if you have a question about something I missed, let me know in the comments and we can get it added. Thanks! -Emma
Hi! Beautiful house! I’d love to know where you sourced the frames for your old family photos and the size. They look amazing! Great idea!
l love the black & white shower room. So crisp and clean. great !
This home is so gorgeous! I love the bright white colors with the pretty deep brown accents! And that little living space in the master bedroom is so fun. I love that! So much personality. Also, where is your sofa from (the brown sectional one)? I found one similar at a yard sale and it was in great shape, just needed a good cleaning and it was good as new! But I need another for my basement and love yours.
The brown leather couches are both from Article.
Hi, Emma! The house looks great! Would you be able to let me know what color the trim is? It’s such a pretty contrast against the white paint. Thank you! ; )
I actually don’t know (sorry!). The house came with this color trim, we only changed the wall colors. We liked it too. 🙂
Oh man! Ok, thanks! ; )
