Elsie and I spent a lot of time together; working, giggling and making huge messes in our studio or my kitchen. But this weekend I'm heading out of town for a friend's wedding while she heads out of town for a few days to support her husband. One thing I love about my sister is how when she takes "time off" she usually comes back with a notebook filled with ideas for our little business or this website here. The girl doesn't know how to relax. He he! I love her for it. Anyone else got big weekend plans? xo. Emma

  • My Birthday is coming up this next week (July 5th) and the fiancée and I are going vintage shopping the WHOLE weekend!!!

  • I love the pop of color on the belt and the dress screams summer I love it
I love your styles it’s so fun yet trendy

  • I love Elsie’s dress! I’ve had a sudden liking for pencil skirts lately. <3

  • How the heck do you lovely ladies stay in shape?! I’m a big believer in sweet treats and cute dresses, but I’ve got to pay for it by dieting and exercising… a lot. Just wondering what you gals do to stay slim and lovely.

  • Aw Dang! Our weekend roadtrip had us visit your shop, but you girl’s were outta town too lol! Ah well, we were fortunate enough to visit with Emma last time, and had fun admiring the shop this time too! And we stopped at Aviary( the crepe’s were divine),Pizza House(fab),and a couple other hot spot’s Elsie suggested and had a lovely weekend!:)

  • It is so nice that your sis and you are closed

  • So sweet – I would love my sister and I to live nearer, I would love to be able to set up a little business with her, it would be so much fun… although I might drive her insane (she’s soooo organised … not my strongest point!)

  • Hey Elsie, great Outfit! (Emma as well)

I just wanted to stop by and tell you that I’m still reading the old parts of your blog (last week I read from new to old and got till page 300-something, now I’m reading old to new and I’m around page 508 by now) and it was so great to see this post:

Last week I read a post about your difficulties with wearing black and today (in this post) you are and here I read that it once was you favourite color:

It’s awesome to see how you changed, I mean when I see you (and Emma) now, I would never have imagines “your beginnings”. To see you in “normal”-2007-jeans is so… weird (not in a bad way, I mean: it’s great how people can change, not from a moment to another but over time and everything looks naturally).

Also I liked your valentines book. You are so inspiring (I’m just starting a new journal – thanks to you!)

  • So cute! Makes me want to start wearing some dresses and skirts more! I featured your blog over on mine as one of my favorites this week 🙂 you always have such lovely stuff here!

  • You ladies look gorge as always! Elsie you have the cutest little curvy figure.

  • Bot lovely looks, especially elsies. So elegant, slightly vintage feel.

  • You girls are so gorgeous and stylish! I wish I was close to my sisters like you two are :o)

  • I love Elsie’s skirt and shoes, your dress is an amazing color too Emma!!Hope you both have a great weekend.

  • Emma looks like Kate Winslet in the first photo! ooooooooo!

  • loving everything in those photos! how did you do that nice effect? what camera and editing software did you use? xo

    The Young Bridget Jones

  • i love the simplicity of these looks — breezy & easy for summer (as they should be). xo.

  • Who needs plans when its summertime? Things just sort of present themselves this time of year~*

  • I love the wedges

  • I love Emmas look here! That necklace is really nice I think I might get myself one in silver 🙂

I’m just relaxing and chilling with my little guy x

  • You both look divine 🙂

  • I love your style! Obsessing over the ombre as well. Umm, could you maybe make a post about the current trends? I know that’s kind of weird to ask but I always want to know and I never know where to find out. Plus, you are amazing! I love red velvet!

  • Hi girls! 🙂
I’ve been reading your blog for a long time now (about 2 years) and I think this is my first comment. Haha.

I am from Argentina but I JUST found out that my best friend lives 3 blocks away from Red velvet! AND she got to meet Jeremy at the Gilloz a few weeks ago after the Switchfoot concert! When I saw her picture on Facebook I was like “NO WAY! That guy is Elsie’s husband!!!”

I told her about your cute shop and she promised she’d go and say hi 🙂

  • Elsie, I love your necklace! Went straight over to the website to check it out, the prices are really really reasonable but I can’t decide between black, lilac or white…x

  • My husband and I just bought a little business from an acquaintance and are going to participate in our first festival with it. There’s a chance of rain so I’m a little stressed!

  • Love Emma’s dress!

    xo Jennifer

  • You two are the cutest! And I love your dress Elsie!
My weekend will be pretty tame…and mostly involve editing photos and reading!

My weekend is the middle of the week in this household… so actually today, is my Monday, blah!

  • I love this post about sisterly love .. I miss my little sis and best friend immensely even though she is only a photo call or fb chat away .. its not quite the same as us baking together or the odd times of being able to chat freely minus the nosey kiddies ears.

  • Love the yellow dress!
    You girls always look great!

  • Plans for weekend?
Relax, enjoy the sun with my two boys…

  • Have a nice weekend both of you! Emma it is funny to see your hair changing from day to day. I started following A beautiful mess when you were completely blond 🙂 I like the colour of your hair on these pictures.

  • You two are so beautiful! Love both of your dresses! 🙂

  • Elsie, I love your crystal necklace!
