Sister Style: Tea Time

1111Hi guys! Let's talk about TEA. I got some new David's Tea, and I have been drinking, like, 5 cups a day. I get really excited about it, in a weird way! Emma is usually a huge snob and only drinks coffee, but she finally cracked! Today she asked me to make her a cup of tea. (*cheers!*) So yea, it's been an awesome week. Do you want me to blog my favorite teas? Please say you really want me to….?

Ps. These photos have nothing to do with tea. Sorry about that.

10xoxo! Elsie + Emma

  • haha, your exuberance made me read all of that like you were saying it in one long, over-excited breath. Methinks maybe five cups of tea a day might have you a wee bit over-caffeinated.

But who am I to talk, I’m still a devout coffee snob, myself and today alone I had three cups.

    Cheers to warm, comforting beverages

The Red Velvet is so great, so is the Mango Diablo (http://www.davidstea.com/mango-diablo-en?&TF=D1F7D181D02F&DEID=) (the spice sneaks up on you after a second).

    Tea post soon?

  • Yes, please. Make a post about your favorite teas. I’m such a tea lover myself, so it would be really nice. 🙂

  • You should definitely try and get your hands on some T2 (Tea Too.) Tea from Australia. My favourite tea shop with around 200 different flavours! Amazing store, friendly staff and a really great shopping experience. (They even made tea infused jams, chocolates and cookies!)

  • Hahaha! I feel the EXACT same way about tea! I get very weirdly excited about it. I have an arsenal of tea in my desk drawer. What flavor are you drinking these days? Have you tried David’s toasted marshmallow?

  • Hi, Elsie! I’m actually an employee at Davids Tea in Toronto and I’d love love love to know which kinds of tea you like! If you post that I’m sure I/we would be able to suggest more teas that you’d like and you can try out next time. I know it can get overwhelming there sometimes and you don’t get to sniff all you’d like to. It would also be cool if one of you wanted to post tea cocktail or baking recipes sometime!

  • Both you are too cute!! And I love the photos!

  • I love love love David’s Tea, they are the only tea company I have found that has teas that actually taste as good as they smell!!! My favorite is Forever Nuts, I think it tastes like mini donuts, and also like the sugared nuts at Disney World 🙂

  • I love the style of these photos! And I love visiting this website over the course of the day for a little mind break, to see what new thing you guys are doing. Thanks for putting your passions out into the universe to share with the rest of us!

  • I’m OBSESSED with David’s tea. Definitely blog about your favorites!

  • I love these pictures, it looks like you had a lot of fun!

I am also a lover of tea. I have so many cups each day at work, the water heater never gets a rest! I’d appreciate hearing what teas you are into right now.

    http://whiskeybreakfast.blogspot.com

  • I just started drinking tea and I would love to hear your favorites! Tea post! Tea post!

  • Please do! My husband LOVES tea. He usually goes to Teavana. I want to get him some tea for stocking stuffers and would definitely love to see your faves!

  • Never heard about that tea, but I am OBSESSED with tea (I’m part English, after all) so I will have to seek it out.

Love the last pic! By the way, after hearing your rave reviews about the Bamboo Wacom tablet, I’ve been thinking of adding it to my Christmas list. Do you think you can do the same with an iPad mini??? Or is it its own separate device??

  • Please Blog yes! check out my blog too: lindztea.wordpress.com (it’s for the tea cafe I work in-Oxford Hall.)

  • I love loose leaf tea! My favourite little tea shop (also online) is called The Whistling Kettle. Their mango white pear tea is soooo good!

  • I’m a snob in the exact opposite way of Emma: I only drink tea, and never drink coffee (I think coffee smells WONDERFUL, and tastes like dirt. It’s the worst bait-and-switch feeling.). I’m so happy David’s Tea has spread into the states, I have been enjoying their teas since they opened their first store on Queen Street in Toronto in 2008. Their stores always have the friendliest staff, and it makes a big difference to the experience!
Have you ever tried Movie Night? It has popcorn in it, and light caramel flavours. It’s definitely worth trying, even just a cup!

    –Erin

  • I’m British so YES to tea post! On another note, cute idea to put a skinny belt over an open cardigan. I was just looking at a grey cardigan that I have this morning thinking ‘will I wear this?’ and now you’ve just given me an idea of a new way to wear it so thanks!
    Claire

  • Yes! I’ve been hearing so much about David’s Tea, but I’m curious how they are, which ones you’d recommend, etc. 🙂

  • Being British, taking time out for a cup tea is an intrinsic part of my day. I currently have about 30 blends of tea and am trying to decide on my favourites. Please blog about tea!

  • Oh, I actually do want to know about your favorite teas. David’s has so many that I get overwhelmed and end up just ordering Earl Grey.

  • Hi i’m just starting to like tea, especially peppermint tea – yum. Those pictures are gorgeous and really pretty clothes. This blog never disappoint me.

  • I want to hear MORE about tea. I have a section in my cupboard filled with teas from all over the world. I ask my friends who travel to bring some for me. That’s how much I LOVE Tea. So yes, more tea talk please. Also, teacups.

  • My husband and I love David’s Tea!! Such a good company! I am a huge tea buff and would love to hear some of your favorites.

Two of my favorite brands are “Twinnings” and “Harney and Sons”.

  • Elsie, I LOVE the posts where you get excited and giddy about stuff, much more than I love the more “formal”, informative posts. I just love to get these tiny peeks into who you are as a person 🙂 I love the more personal, genuine stuff and that’s why I *absolutely love* Everyday Elsie!! I’m so happy you share EE with us. 🙂

  • Ahahah! I really like these shoots, so funny! You girls rule and, yes, please Elsie, write a post about your favourite teas!

    Drawing Dreaming

  • Yes, please blog your favorite teas! Thanks to you & Holly I have been tempted to try some from David’s but haven’t been sure which to choose! 😉

Also, I was just wondering if you guys can do more posts about staying healthy and eating glutton free (I believe I read that Elsie does…I could be wrong.) I recently found out dairy & glutton may be causing some of the reasons I’m not feeling well and wanted to hear about ways to take care of that from someone who lives that lifestyle. Thanks so much girls! 🙂

  • Your dress is just fab!!! ♥
And I´d love to know your favourite tees!!! I´m absolutelly into tee 😉 So it would be great..

What a beautiful skirt! Love it! You both look wonderful! And are making me crave tea…

  • Please blog your favourite teas! I love drinking tea and I love the fact that among all the different flavours, there will always be one reflecting your mood.

  • I LOVE Emma’s dress! Here in England you would be more of a snob if you only drank tea (which I guess is me since I still can’t stand the taste of coffee!)

  • Elsie, I love your blouse! So beautiful! Usually, I am a coffee junkie as well, but I feel like the time before Christmas is a perfect time to drink tea. In addition to that, I have to reduce my coffee consumption while breastfeeding, so YAY for tea!

    http://higgledypiggledywonderland.wordpress.com

  • I love David’s Tea. I’ve been going there since there was only one store in BC and none in the States. I would travel an hour and a half eahc way by public transit just to buy tea (okay, and visit my favourite vegetarian restaurant as well). About 15 of my five dozen types of tea are David’s Tea.

  • You gals are lovely; this post made me smile.

I have to say that I, too, am a snob. I don’t like tea or coffee – hot chocolate is my drink of choice.

Elsie, I love your polka dotted top! And Emma, I love that pink belt with your navy dress. 🙂
