S’more Ice Cream Bombs

Smore ice cream bombsSometimes I just want a treat. 

Because I'm so original. I mean, no woman has ever uttered those words before. Just me. 


And you know what, sometimes I want that treat to taste like summer. Because it is summer where I live, and it's seriously my favorite season (I'm sorry, autumn! I love you too, I swear!). This "recipe" (guys, it's not a recipe, it's just something I made) was inspired by those three ideas: 

1. I want a treat.

2. Summer is all about ice cream.

3. Oh, and s'mores! Summer is totally all about s'mores. 

Smore ice cream bombs Incidentally this "recipe" has three components as well. It's all about the threes today I guess. 

It's a crunchy, graham cracker crust, then a layer of chocolate ice cream topped with toasted marshmallow fluff. 

That's it. It's total rocket science. 

Smore ice cream bombs  I used my beloved Zenker Ring Mold pan along with a little wax paper lining to shape these. That pan was a wedding shower gift that I have used SO many times over the past few years, mostly to bake cheesecakes (like these pumpkin ones, or these lime-y ones). Then I toasted the tops with my kitchen torch. Easy peasy.
