Ingredients

  • 1 cup banana frozen
  • 1 cup milk plant based or dairy
  • ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup quick oats

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the ingredients: frozen banana, milk, yogurt, cocoa powder, almond butter, vanilla extract and quick oats.
  • Blend and pulse until completely smooth.
  • If you like, use chocolate syrup to garnish the inside of the glass. It’s not necessary at all, but fun and fancy! Use a piece of fruit you have on hand to garnish the top of the glass.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Using frozen bananas makes it unnecessary to include ice.
  • Unsweetened almond milk is my top choice for a smoothie.
  • Anytime you want to add sweetness to a smoothie, add honey.
