In a blender, combine the ingredients: frozen banana, milk, yogurt, cocoa powder, almond butter, vanilla extract and quick oats.
Blend and pulse until completely smooth.
If you like, use chocolate syrup to garnish the inside of the glass. It’s not necessary at all, but fun and fancy! Use a piece of fruit you have on hand to garnish the top of the glass.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Using frozen bananas makes it unnecessary to include ice.
Unsweetened almond milk is my top choice for a smoothie.
Anytime you want to add sweetness to a smoothie, add honey.
