Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • In a sauce pan, combine equal parts honey and water.
  • Simmer on low to medium heat until fully combined.
  • Allow to cool completely and transfer to a glass bottle. Store in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Collect reusable bottles for your homemade simple syrups. These are the bottles I used in these photos. I also like these bottles.
  • If you make multiple flavors of syrup, adding labels is a good idea.
  • You can infuse many fresh and dried herbs, fruits and flavors into your syrup. Have fun experimenting with different flavors.
  • Honey syrup should be kept in a sealed container in the fridge. It will last for a minimum of one month. I often keep mine for a few months before making a new batch.
