Equipment

  • 1 Blender

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder ceremonial grade
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen banana sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or more to taste
  • ¼ cup whipped cream optional

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine all the ingredients including Greek yogurt, frozen banana, milk, honey, and matcha.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Taste test your smoothie and if you want to add more sweetness, you can add a bit more honey.
  • Serve immediately and add whipped cream to the top if you like!

Notes

How to choose a quality matcha:
  • High quality matcha is bright green in color and has a less bitter taste.
  • It’s worth the money to choose a high quality matcha. It’s normal for it to cost $20 or more for a small amount of matcha.
  • Matcha recipes always need some sort of sweetener—my favorite is honey or agave.
  • I use the brand MatchaBar, which you can purchase on Amazon.
