- 2 tablespoons matcha powder ceremonial grade
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 cup frozen banana sliced
- 1 tablespoon honey or more to taste
- ¼ cup whipped cream optional
In a blender, combine all the ingredients including Greek yogurt, frozen banana, milk, honey, and matcha.
Blend until smooth.
Taste test your smoothie and if you want to add more sweetness, you can add a bit more honey.
Serve immediately and add whipped cream to the top if you like!
How to choose a quality matcha:
- High quality matcha is bright green in color and has a less bitter taste.
- It’s worth the money to choose a high quality matcha. It’s normal for it to cost $20 or more for a small amount of matcha.
- Matcha recipes always need some sort of sweetener—my favorite is honey or agave.
- I use the brand MatchaBar, which you can purchase on Amazon.
