Anytime Cookies

  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups mix in ingredients see post


  1. In a KitchenAid stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugars. Then add the vanilla extract and egg and mix until combined. Then add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms. Stir in your mix in ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.

  2. Spoon onto a baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat. Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes. Then gently remove to a cooling rack.

Recipe Notes

If you don't plan to bake your cookies within a day or two you can freeze the prepared dough for use later.
