Key Lime Martini

Ingredients
- 1 ounce lime juice fresh
- 2 ounces vodka or gin
- ½ ounce cream of coconut
- ½ ounce cointreau or other orange liqueur
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Be sure to shake the cream of coconut bottle well before using.
- Then, shake up the cocktail until the cup becomes very, very cold in your hands. Strain into a martini glass or coupe.
Notes
I prefer vodka to gin on this particular martini recipe as I think it just works better with the flavors and creaminess of this drink. But if you're a major gin drinker or that's what you have on hand, that will work well too. It is a martini after all.
