Homemade Chex Mix

Keyword chex mix, snack mix

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
  • 1 ½ cups sesame sticks
  • 1 ½ cups Cheez-Its
  • 1 cup rye chips these are always so tough to find, but I add them when I can
  • 1 cup Reese’s Pieces optional, but we always add these!
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt

Instructions

  • Mix Chex cereal, sesame chips, Cheez-Its and rye chips in 2 large bowls. Melt butter and add garlic, salt and Worcestershire.
  • Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture and mix well. Spread one layer evenly on baking sheet (I always line with parchment paper).
  • Bake at 275 degrees for 45 minutes. It usually takes me several batches to get it all baked. Cool completely before serving or storing. If you add Reese’s candy, wait until the end.
  • Store sealed in an airtight container and it can last for several weeks. We like to keep ours in a clear jar and serve with a measuring cup.
