If the wings have been frozen, thaw. We usually buy wings that are not frozen. If the wings seem excessively wet (more likely if they were frozen), pat dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen cloth.
Season the wings with an all-purpose seasoning, or salt and pepper.
Place the wings in the air fryer bays in one layer. It's OK if the wings touch some, but try not to overlap them.
Air fry at 400°F for 28 minutes.
If any of the wings have stuck together, gently pull them apart and add all the wings to a mixing bowl (I use tongs to remove from the hot air fryer). Toss in the wing sauce until well coated.
Notes
If you are air frying in two batches with a single bay air fryer, then fry at 390°F for 24 minutes.
