This past weekend Emma and I took a trip to Colorado Springs to visit our bestie, Rachel. We invited Katie and Holly to come along too. It was a wonderful, mellow trip. We had the best time! We tried Smiley's for brunch and brought Rachel a peaches and cream pie. We spent a long afternoon at Rachel's home playing with the kiddos (yes, we bought Sebastian nunchucks!) and got macaron baking lessons from Holly. Spoiler- they were the best we've EVER had. Like, whoa.
We enjoyed Suga's so much that we went there twice! Their salmon bruschetta and lavender martini are absolutely incredible.
Our weekend was filled with good conversations and quality time with our far away friends. We kept it pretty low key because the purpose of our trip was spending time with people, not seeing the sights. Seeing her sweet little baby bump was a high point, for sure. We came home last night feeling inspired, thankful and missing Rachel and Holly more than ever.
See you soon, Colorado Springs! xo. elsie + emma

So cool- this is my hometown 🙂 Sugas was the hangout all through high school and college. Hope you had a blast. Find any cool places downtown ?
Been to the Springs many times. One sister lives there, another in Monument, about 17 miles uphill. Beautiful place, but always good to come home. Great photos. Glad you enjoyed your visit with your friends.
Super fun that you went to colorado springs. my husband and I went there last summer for his business trip. So many cool things to do out there! you should definitely go back sometime and check out some of the fun things – like Manitou Springs and Garden of the gods. 🙂 btw- when i went there, there was a hippie girl who tried to convince me to buy her ice cream. I said no. super funny.
Oh, such lovely photos! Looks like you guys had so much fun. I have no idea of how Colorado is (barely know in which direction it is. Ha!). One more place on my “Places to visit” list… 🙂
I love Colorado. So jealous, but glad you guys had a good time!
Ugh, these photos look like so much fun. I love the outfits & saturated colors.
