Listen, I know that nobody needs an excuse to eat Nutella. You don’t even have to put it on anything—it goes great with spoons. However, I am giving you an excuse to drink Nutella, which may not have crossed your mind yet.
If we could only get Nutella-flavored oxygen into those weird oxygen bars, you could even breathe Nutella, but I may be getting a bit ahead of myself. Let’s stick to the joy of being able to drink it for now…
Nutella Hot Chocolate (makes 2 servings).
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup Nutella
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
dash of sea salt
fresh whipped cream (optional)
Add your milk to a small pot and heat the milk over low-medium heat until warm (don’t let the milk boil; just warm it slowly).
Once the milk has warmed, add your Nutella and stir regularly with a whisk until all the spread has dissolved. Add the cinnamon and salt, and stir until combined. Pour into mug and garnish with a dollop of whipped cream.
This hot chocolate is a little on the rich side, but I love the combination of the cinnamon with the chocolate hazelnut goodness of the Nutella. It just adds a touch of warmth, and the dash of salt really kicks all the flavors up a notch too.
I am a big fan of hot drinks in front of the fireplace as the cold weather approaches, and I think this will be a big hit in our house this year. Now let’s get working on that Nutella-flavored air—who’s with me!? xo. Laura

This is ridiculous!!! YUMMMO!
I’ve just made it ! It’s delicious, but one cup will be enough, it feeds quite well !!
Jif has a salted caramel hazelnut spread. If you use that verses the regular Nutella and (maybe) skip the cinnamon… OMG it is for flipping delicious!
Just made this and it is amazing! Thanks for the recipe Laura!
Oh my god! I need to try this now

Hmm, that’s odd! Maybe add it in at the end when the liquid is hot and whisk while you sprinkle it slowly? Glad it tasted good though!

I made something similar last winter (without the cinnamon and cream) will have to try it this way next time. It sounds delicious!
