As much fun as it can be to take pictures, sometimes it's easy to forget the most important reasons we take them in the first place: to look at them! In our digital age, so many of our treasured memories get buried in our laptop folders and we need a reminder now and then to print our photos and put them out where they can be enjoyed every day. Since we're printing photos, this was another perfect fit for our Canon USA collaboration! All my photos here were printed using the Canon PIXMA MG7120 on their semi-gloss photo paper. Super simple to use! Anyway, without further ado, here are three ways to display your pictures and give them the attention they deserve.
1. Make a grouping of items: This idea is my favorite way to display a photo on a mantel or a shelf. Choose one photo and arrange it with 3-4 other objects to create a group. You can use plants, flowers, vintage cameras or figurines, books, candles, or any other kind of decorative accessory you may have. 2. Create a gallery wall: We obviously love gallery walls here at ABM. It's a good idea to create some sort of theme when planning a gallery wall. Maybe they are all black and white photos, have the same color palette, or are all photos of the same thing (like all cats or dogs!). Use a mixture of photos as well as prints and other memorabilia. I love having a mixture of personal photos along with other prints (like a few of our favorite album covers). You can read more about Elsie and Emma's tips for installing gallery walls here and here.
3. Feature a special event: Sometimes one photo isn't enough to remember a really special occasion. I chose four of my favorite photos from our wedding and hung them with some flea market vintage letters that show our wedding date. We have a wedding book of photos, but it didn't even take 24 hours of this display being up before my husband remarked how nice it was to see them out in the open.
There you go! Three different ways to showcase the moments that you treasure most. So what are you waiting for? Start printing and hanging your photos today! xo. Laura

Gorgeous lay out!
Where did you get your silver lamp with the white shade that is on your desk? I love it and need something narrow like that!
Those black and white photos look stunning. Really like the display.

love.
I love taking photos. One of my problems is that I don’t have a lot of space in the condo! I made my own collage photo frames to display small images (or trinkets, tickets, etc.) so that it doesn’t take up a lot of space! http://www.everydayembellished.ca/2014/02/picture-frame-display-with-fabric.html
I love framing records. I have a boarder of them around my room.

These are all great ideas. I like to display as many photos as possible. Since I have a lot of full bookshelves, I also display small picture frames in front of the books on the edge of the shelves. Also I am blessed with old deep wooden window frames in my living room, so pictures go there too. Thank you for the inspiration.
My walls are too sad
They need some art or photos
Thanks for sharing!
My walls are too sad… they need some art or photos,
I take note of your advices!
I adore the vintage numbers! I am working on making our current apartment our own work of art, and it is in progress. Thank you for the great ideas!
A great idea about displaying your special event 🙂
How did you hang the moon print? I’m in a rented apartment and I want to make a gallery wall in my room, but I can’t find a seamless way to hang prints without damaging the walls and the moon print looks EXACTLY how I want mine to!
Beautiful idea! I love the gallery wall idea!
I always get each year printed into a photo book to display on the coffee table, they always get picked up before even the most glamorous coffee table books!
