Birthday Cake Martini Ingredients
Marshmallow vodka – we loved the Smirnoff ‘Fluffed’ version
Cream of coconut
Amaretto
White Chocolate Liqueur
Honey – for the rim
Sprinkles – Nonpareils (the little, round balls) are best
How to make a Birthday Cake Martini
Prep your martini glass(es) but adding a little honey around the rim and then dipping (upside down) on a small plate filled with sprinkles.
In a cocktail mixer, combine the vodka, cream of coconut, Amaretto and White Chocolate Liqueur. Add ice and shake vigorously. You want the outside of the cocktail shaker to feel very cold in hand.
Strain into a chilled and garnished martini glass. Serve cold. Cheers!
Notes & Substitutions
- If you can’t find Smirnoff Fluffed marshmallow vodka other marshmallow vodkas will work well too. If you can’t find or don’t like marshmallow vodka I’d recommend whipped cream vodka or vanilla vodka.
- Simple syrup will work in place of the honey on the rim, but honey works best as it’s thicker.
- If you are making a batch of birthday cake martinis or want to prep the glasses ahead of time you can add the sprinkle rim and then store the glass in the freezer until you’re ready to use it. This also ensures your glass is nice and cold for the martini.
- This recipe makes one serving. Feel free to double, triple or more for a bigger celebration.
Now I want it to be somebody’s birthday. Cheers! Elsie
