I'm all about simple hairstyles these days. I mean, there is really no point in even curling your hair here in Missouri unless you're staying inside for the whole day. Curls + humidity do not = awesome.
Step 1: Take a small section of hair on one side of your head and braid. Step 2: Underneath the braid, take another section of hair and twist. Repeat on the other side. Step 3: Gather the braids and the twists at the back of your head and secure with a pony tail holder. Steps 4-6: Take the hair that is left down and tuck it into the smaller braids. Secure with bobby pins if necessary. My hair was too long for a simple tuck, so I braided the back before I tucked! xoxo. Katie

Thank you for this great idea!
I love this up-do. I always need new ways to fix may hair fast without just throwing it in a bun. The video tutorial was extremely helpful. It’s simple enough to wear with a t-shirt but cute enough to wear with a dress. LOVE IT!

I love this chignon! Now I do it almost everyday 🙂 Kisses from Galicia (Spain) and sorry for my english!
I love how incredibly easy this is!
I’m totally shocked to report that this actually works! I am a dunce when it comes to hair, and was very skeptical about this working, but alas, it did! The one thing I will say is that the braids have to be tied pretty tightly in order for them to actually hold the rest of the hair once it’s folded in. So excited to have an easy but fancy-looking hairstyle for everyday, I can definitely see this becoming a staple. Thanks Katie & E+E! ♥
I was wondering that if you are a proffessinal hair dresser? How beautiful!
I wore my hair like this today and received so many lovely compliments. My hair is super straight and fine so I had to secure it with Bobbie pins. So cute and so fancy.
Now you need to do ALL of your hair tutorials as videos!!!
Can I just say, I love your hair! It always looks so cute and the color is great 🙂 And, I’m going to have to try this hair tutorial this week – I think it would be perfect for work, and easy to do during my rushed mornings. Thanks Katie!
Really cute and perfect for summer 🙂
Wow! Thanks for the video – it helped so much!
How beautiful!! Thank you for posting this tutorial…I love easy hairdos that are quick and look amazing! It looks especially good on your hair color!
I think I’m going to try this. Tomorrow 🙂
I love this! I have curly hair and there is lots of humidity here in Sydney too, so I can relate! I love simply styles like this! I’ll be trying this one over the weekend, too.
SO cute! I have to try this! Especially cute in your red hair, Katie!
This looks so pretty and easy! Do you reckon this will work with longer hair too, if I braid it?
I’ve got such fine hair that I never really attempt complex hair styles. They always fall. But this one is too cute to pass up. Hope it holds!
Loved The hair style< simple and elegant!! http:www.braziltech.co/
Can’t wait to try this hairstyle! Thanks for the beautiful idea!
Thank you very much for posting this tutorial. I am not the best at doing hair and when I tried this, it was even doable for me! Thank you-this is my new go-to hair style. (:
Adorable, Katie! You make it look so easy I think I will try it!
