I’m forever on the search for new styles to try out on my hair. My favorites tend to be techniques that are fast and easy, but have a really strong style. Enter the knot braid.
Step 1: Bring all your hair to one side of your head and grab a section from the back. Divide it into two pieces.
Step 2: Wrap the pieces around the outside of the hair and tie in a knot.
Step 3-4: After the knot is tied, take the two pieces behind the larger section of hair and criss-cross them. Add a small section to each piece so they remain long and wrap and tie.
Step 5: Continue knotting and bringing the pieces to the back, adding a small section of hair to both pieces each time.
Step 6: Once you’ve reached the end, tie off with a hair elastic and gently tug on the knots to create a fuller braid. I was pleased at how quickly I got the hang of this braid and I love how involved this style looks! It just adds a little extra fancy! xo. Katie
