Jeremy’s new project—Violents

Violents musicMy husband, Jeremy, recently started a new music project called Violents. The project is unique because he is creating a series of EPs that feature different female vocalists, but all the music is written by him. It's basically his dream project, and I am so proud to be able to cheer him along. The music is incredible!

Today I wanted to share that leading up to his next EP release (on February 10th), you can download the first Violents EP for free through Noisetrade. Noisetrade is a site that artists can use to offer free music in exchange for email addresses, to help build a mailing list. It's a really great concept and a win-win for both artists and fans.

To get the Blush EP for free, head over to Noisetrade or use the button above. You can also find Violents on iTunes and Spotify.

Please follow Violents on Instagram @ViolentsMusic! That's the best way to keep up with future music.

Thanks so much for letting me share something so special to me. Happy Sunday! Elsie

  • Elsie, thank you so, so, SO much for sharing your husband’s passions along with your own. It’s really beautiful to see men being supported by strong women. I’ve been impressed by everything Jeremy has touched (both musically and in his filming tidbits). Evergreen reminds me a little of Ellie Goulding. *I die*

  • Yes, Stacy will be featured on the forth EP later this spring. We love her too!
    xx- Elsie

  • Thanks so much for your kind words, Hilary!

& no worries, Scrapbook Sunday is here to stay.

  • The music is beautiful! The lyrics I could understand are heart wrenching and IMPORTANT!

And I only offer critique because the messages I did hear were so important.

For me, in Blush (second vocal set) and Break, the sound mix and/or stylization of the vocals hid the lyrics.

Brave – definitely loving Brave. It so poignantly describes a DV relationship it made me weep. I know this message must be important to Jeremy. Make it clear, sing it out!

  • I have been playing Evergreens on repeat all week! Absolutely in love with this EP. So beautiful! Congrats and good luck to Jeremy 🙂

  • I saw Stacy King mention Violents on her instagram…so I’m super excited to think she’s one of the three. LOVE her (Eisley and Sucre). I will definitely listen to this too – Jeremy’s music is gorgeous!

  • well say your husbands that he created a wonderful music! Vocal is so dreamy and beautiful. I think that Brave is my favorite for now, but they are all lovely. Nice concept with different vocals, can’t wait to listen what’s next. Good luck!

  • I forgot to mention above…. I listen to A LOT (and I mean A LOT) of electronic music, and Evergreens is SICK (in a very, very good way). The whole EP is really great, but that track in particular is potentially legendary. Well done, sir.

  • Beautiful! Always so nice to be introduced to new music… Especially GOOD new music! Thanks for sharing 🙂 P.S. Totally grateful for this delicious post, but I hope you haven’t dropped Scrapbook Sunday.

  • So beautiful! I think “Blush” was my favorite. He is so talented. Congratulations! 🙂

  • Beautiful music (love ‘Brave’!)….good luck with it all, Jeremy. And, Elsie: it’s wonderful you’re sharing this on ABM – another type of creativity and I guess that’s why people visit ABM – for crazy good levels of creativity across many types of crafts/arts/DIY etc….

  • I couldn’t help but think it’s got a “Bjork” feeling to it. Truly like it. Will iTune it 🙂 Thanks for sharing

  • Absolutely beautiful! I will definitely download the first EP and I can’t wait for the next to come! His music has something very genuinely beautiful and honest!

  • Lovely! I am so happy for you both – being able to have a supportive life partner is a beautiful thing!

    Warm Regards,
    Alexandra

  • Wowie, what a cool proj! This music is totally radical too! It’s easy to get a homemade sound with stuff like this but this is completely professional. Kudos to Jeremy, you’re a cool dude!

  • Yummy. So incredible music, so cold, so beautiful. And girl’s voice – gentle and… just beautiful

  • this music is AMAZING!! Just my type of jam… Way to go Jeremy! I’ll be downloading ALL the Violents EPs :))
