Ingredients

  • ¼ cup boba pearls
  • 1 black tea bag
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  • First, use this boba pearl recipe to prepare the bubbles, or tapioca pearls that go in this drink.
  • Brew the tea and allow to cool.
  • Add the tea to the milk and stir to combine.
  • In a glass, add your boba pearls, ice and then drizzle the sweetened condensed milk along the sides.
  • Then pour the milk tea over the ice and enjoy chilled.

Notes

If you want add a little more flavor, you could sprinkle on a little cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, or cardamom.
You will want to use a bubble tea straw for this drink. A standard straw will not be large enough for the boba pearls to pass through.
If you want or need to make this dairy free, you can swap the dairy milk for an alternative you prefer and omit the sweetened condensed milk. Add a teaspoon or more of another sweetener like simple syrup or honey.
Instead of black tea, you could use jasmine, green, or oolong.
