In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the vodka, Clamato juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and horseradish.
Shake for 10-15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain and pour into a cocktail glass with fresh ice.
Garnish with a celery stalk, olives, bacon, or whatever your heart desires!
Notes
Variations - Similar to the Bloody Mary, you can swap spirits interchangeably. Try a Tequila Caesar, a Gin Caesar or Bourbon Caesar.
Orange Juice - Some recipes swear by adding a splash of orange juice to your recipe. I haven't tried this yet, but it sounds interesting for a bit of sweet and savory flavor.
Salted Rim - Add a salted rim if you want a little extra. Try our Margarita Salt recipe next time you want to do salt-rimmed glasses.
Optional Ingredients - If you want to add a little zing to your cocktail, add a squeeze of lime juice. If you want to enhance the savory flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder, celery salt or black pepper to your cocktail shaker.
Clam Juice - Many variations of this recipe dating back to the 1950s call for clam juice. We've also heard of recipes including pickle juice—I'd love to try that!
