Equipment

  • 1 Ninja Creami ice cream maker

Ingredients

  • cups milk
  • cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon raspberry extract
  • ½ teaspoon lemon extract
  • 15 drops blue food coloring

Instructions

  • In your pint container, combine milk, vanilla pudding mix, heavy cream, raspberry extract, lemon extract and blue food coloring. Whisk to combine. Cover the pint and freeze for 24 hours.
  • Use your Ninja Creami machine on “Ice Cream” setting.
  • Remove the pint and take a look at your ice cream. If you think the texture is a bit chalky (or not as creamy as you want), make a hole in the center of the ice cream and add a tablespoon of water or milk. Then, use the “re-spin” function.
  • Repeat until texture is creamy.
  • We recommend adding sprinkles, Fruity Pebbles cereal or cherries to the top.

Notes

  • Use this ice cream to make blue floats (use a clear lemon-lime soda).
  • Many people think this ice cream flavor reminds them of Fruity Pebbles cereal. Try topping your ice cream with Fruity Pebbles or Fruit Loops or Lucky Charms marshmallows.
  • Some people swear that the secret ingredient for Blue Moon Ice Cream is nutmeg. Try adding a teaspoon and see what you think.
