Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 3 ounces cold water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional

Instructions

  • Add the matcha powder to the cold water. Whisk powder into the water, making sure it fully dissolves and no lumps remain.
  • In a glass, add ice and fill with the milk.
  • If you are using sweetener, add it now and stir into the milk.
  • Then pour your matcha shot over the milk. Enjoy cold!

Notes

You can whisk the matcha powder into the water by hand with a small whisk, a matcha whisk, or a milk frothing wand.
You can 2% or whole dairy milk for this recipe OR any kind of milk alternative like oat milk or soy.
You can leave out the sweetener or add another teaspoon or more depending on your preferences.
I like honey or simple syrup to sweeten, but other options could include agave or stevia drops.
