Natural Sweetness – We love a natural sweetener. My favorite ways to add sweetness to a smoothie are honey, agave, maple syrup or a pitted date.
Healthy Boosts – Add a spoonful of collagen powder, some ground flax seeds, a scoop of sea moss gel, liquid hyaluronic acid or chia seeds to add some fiber. You may also add a scoop of protein powder if you like.
Vegan – If you want to make this into a vegan recipe, choose a dairy-free milk (such as oat milk, almond milk or cashew milk), use a vegan yogurt (such as coconut yogurt) and replace honey with agave syrup.
Other Fruits – Add a scoop of frozen raspberries, frozen blueberries or frozen mango to create a different flavor.
Creamy Texture – Make sure your blender blade is sharp. I use my blender almost daily so every few years I need to purchase a new blender pitcher with a fresh blade.
