Hi there. I am real excited to share this ridiculously delicious cocktail recipe with you today.
It’s one of my TOP TWO favorite cocktail recipes I’ve ever made along with our Toasted Coconut Margarita. And I am not even a big margarita person, you guys, but these are extra EXTRA delicious.
Alright!! First you need to make some fresh, homemade watermelon juice! It’s super easy, just two steps!

First, blend chunks of seedless watermelon until it is completely liquified. You don’t have to add water, just blend the pieces. I used one entire mini watermelon, and it produced one large mason jar of juice, by the way!
Then, strain the juice. This takes a moment because you do have to rinse out the strainer as you go.
Go ahead and pour some juice in, wait until it gets “clogged” and stops draining, rinse out that pulp, and keep straining. This will help your juice be light and fresh and not too thick.
Watermelon Margarita, serves one
3 ounces watermelon juice
2 ounces Tequila Blanco
2 ounces margarita mix
Bonus points if you make your own margarita mix, but you can use store bought too, if you want. Combine all the ingredients in a shaker, shake them up and serve them over ice. Garnish with a salt rim and a slice of fresh watermelon.
This drink is going to be a summer staple in our house. It’s very refreshing, interesting and not too syrupy like a lot of margaritas can be. To me, it’s a good mix of sweet and strong!

That looks nice, you gave me idea for my daughters second birthday party in this Sunday. Of course for kids i will put only watermelon juice with sugar and watermelon decoration. For parents I am going with your recipe.
Wow, I am not one for tequila but the watermelon juice waters it down plus the 1/2 cup of sugar of your margarita mix recipe and the water called for there makes it amazing!
This sure does make me thirsty!
We love watermelon and we love margaritas! Thanks for this recipe. The watermelon juice seems really easy to make. I will go to the store as soon as possible and make some for this week. Thank you for this easy breezy recipe. It looks delicious!

Wahhh? This looks so good and I just suffered a freak accident over the holiday weekend where a tree holding the hammock I was laying on broke off at the bottom and fell on me, lacerating my liver. No alcohol for me for 6-8 weeks but I’ll be dreaming of this while I (painfully) recover! I’ve been re-reading all my favorite posts here while I’m laid up on bed rest. ABM has been my bright spot these past few days. Thanks as always ladies for bringing something beautiful to my days!
Love this recipe! So refreshing for summer time =o)
