Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 3 ounces hot water
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  • Add the matcha powder to the hot water.
  • Whisk powder into the water, making sure it fully dissolves and no lumps remain. You can do this by hand with a small whisk, a matcha whisk, or a milk frothing wand.
  • Pour the matcha shot into your mug.
  • Steam the milk and whisk/froth. Then pour the milk into the mug as well.
  • If you want to add a sweetener, like honey or simple syrup, stir that into the matcha shot before adding the hot milk.

Notes

You can use dairy milk or any milk alternative in this recipe like oat milk, soy, etc.
If you want to sweeten this latte, try a teaspoon or two of honey or simple syrup.
