Sister Style: Happy Hour

Sister style at Scotch and SodaSister style at Scotch and Soda Scotch and Soda in Springfield, MO Scotch and Soda in Springfield, MOWe have a number of bars/small plates spots we love in our hometown, but our very favorite is Scotch and Soda. It's the best! Best drinks, best snacks, and best service. If you're ever in Springfield and in need of a happy hour, we highly recommend them.

Did that just sound like a commercial for Scotch and Soda? Well, we just really like them. What can I say?!

I think happy hour is probably the one thing Elsie and I do together from time to time where we will rarely talk about "work". I can't really explain why. If we're shopping, on a plane, eating lunch, etc., it's super likely that at some point we'll start talking about our next business idea together or some blog post series we want to start. But happy hour is one of those times when we pretty much just take a break and chill. Too distracted by cocktails and cheese I guess. 🙂

  • Happy hour is always my favorite! There’s nothing like piling into a bar with the girls after work and chatting about our days over drinks, and the meat/cheese platter that our favorite Paris hole in the wall is known for 🙂

  • Elsie’s shorts are too cute! HH is always a fave of ours too.

  • Great photos, great times together. Missing my sisters and BFF right now.

  • This place looks amazing! And Emmas headband is pretty much the best.

  • This just might be my favorite Sister Style post yet. So so cute, girls!

  • This is so cute!

    I love the photos!

  • I love both look! The bar looks really cool. My boyfriend and I like to go in a place called Public Enemy. It’s 40/50’s style, which I particularly love. They have the best caft beers and they always organize some cool events 🙂

  • OMG that star headband!!

    Warm Regards,

  • Lovely outfits! I don’t really have a cozy place here in hometown simple because there aren’t many cute little cafes. And I am not a fan of big, crowdy ones 🙂

  • Love these photos! You two look amazing and the bar look like a great place 🙂

  • That looks so fun! There is this tavern right down the road from our house. They have a delicious Mediterranean pizza and THE BEST peach cobbler! We love to go for a glass of wine and dessert. 🙂

  • I’m going to have to do an ABM inspired weekend road trip to Springfield to check it out! Love the recent posts on the locale! But then again – you two make everything cool!! P.s. Elsie’s headband is Everything.

  • I agree – happy hour is the one time where I actually forget about work and blogging and can just relax and enjoy. Both these outfits are really cute! Love those shorts.

  • You’re both adorable! I love the striped shorts!

  • I love these posts! Probably one of my favorite series from you guys. I’m hoping my sister will join in on my blog sometime soon 🙂

  • Aww, you guys are so cute! Love the striped shorts! 🙂

  • Oh cool! I didn’t know they were still in stock! I bought them last year. 🙂 They’re super comfy.
    xoxo! Elsie

  • Absolutely love this sister style post! Super cute 🙂 <3

  • Elsie, I’ve been obsessing over those ShoeMint wedges for weeks now! When I saw the picture I wondered if they were the same as the ones sitting in my basket, and they are – so cute! They go pretty well with those delicious-looking cocktails and snacks too..

  • Too cute! Looks delicious also!

  • Seems like a really cool place to be!
Even more when the bartender is a friend of yours. 🙂

  • Elsie, I love how your style is evolving over time (yours too Emma, but my style for clothes is kinda closer to Elsie’s)! Go go ladies!

  • I love the vintage head scarf! I so need to get my hands on something like that. This restaurant looks really cute as well

    Steph –

  • Love Scotch and Soda! I need to start sitting in the front cause the lighting there is always so dark! Really want to get a membership and get my own chair!

  • I love Emma’s lipstick! What colour are you wearing?

  • Those photos are too cute!! 🙂

I had never seen or heard if that drink before!! 😮 my drink is usually a mojito but with black vodka instead of rum!! Sooo delicious! 😉

    Xoxo Jessy

  • So fun! What a cool bar! And I love the name of the place! Looking sweet as ever, ladies!

  • Lovely photos, I am especially admiring that black dress!

    xo, Liz

  • That sounds so fun! Love that it is dog friendly too!
    xx- Elsie

  • There’s a place in walking distance of our apartment called “Tipsy Cow” that my husband and I are obsessed with. We love to split the short rib poutine and I get their “Bovine Bessy” cocktail. Plus! The decor is SO CUTE, the patio is dog-friendly, they serve brunch and are open until 2pm on Fridays and Saturdays! So much love for this place. Glad you gals have a go to spot – it’s a game changer.

  • Looks like a cool spot! Im ready for my cocktail right about now!

  • Both of your outfits are adorable! I love Emma’s headpiece!

  • Happy hour reminds me my days in Edimbugh!
There is not happy hour in my city, we have juevintxos ( translate: thurs-tapa-day) You can get a glass of wine and a tapa for 2 euros. And the city center is very crowded
