Father’s Day is coming up soon, so we thought a roundup of easy DIY Father’s Day gift ideas was in order!
Elsie put together this Fathers’s Day gift guide if you’re looking for ideas, but if you want to make your gift this year—keep reading! We’re also sharing some meal ideas (and a few desserts) in case you’re hosting a lunch or dinner this weekend.
DIY Gifts
Put some extra love into Dad’s gift with a handmade mason jar sleeve—perfect for camping trips and morning coffee.
This buffalo check soap is softly scented with rosemary essential oil (we also love the scent of fir needle for this soap).
This acrylic frame has a calendar on the back and a spot for a photo on the front. The best gift to put on a desk!
Grab some spice jars and make a set of homemade seasoning mixes. So easy!
Take a trip to your local thrift store to find an old frame that you can makeover with paint, wallpaper, or other embellishments. Add a sweet photo of you and Dad and you’re all set!
We love this simple leather keychain, and you can make it any color using leather dye.
Make a set of wood-burned bottle stoppers using this tool. These are fun (and easier than you’d think) to make.
These acrylic coasters are really cool and easy to make, and you can personalize them using different colors of alcohol ink.
If he loves to read, make him some library card bookmarks using our free printable.
One of those “why didn’t I think of that?” moments. This wooden cup holder is practical and sleek. Or maybe this photo fabric coffee cozy?
Speaking of holders, this suede catchall is great for keeping keys, change, and other small items in one place.
Lunch + Dinner
Let’s talk about food! If you’re having family over for a meal, you should totally make these veggie enchiladas. They can be prepped beforehand, so you can just pop them in the oven when you’re ready.
Our jalapeño popper black bean burgers can easily be made with ground beef if Dad’s into that.
Overnight no-boil lasagna is as easy as it sounds to make, and always a crowd favorite.
You’re probably thinking … BBQ sauce is NOT a meal. Ha! Well, we still wanted to include this one because it’s homemade and delicious. If you’re grilling this weekend, it’s a must have. Need a side with your meal? Try these air-fried seasoned French fries.
Sweet potato tacos are fresh and healthy. That means more dessert!
Did somebody say “the best deep dish pizza ever?” OK, just checking. 🙂
Brunch
If you’re having company over for brunch, you have to make Emma’s savory French toast casserole. It’s the best of both worlds!
These sticky buns are a combination of pecan pie and cinnamon rolls, and you can make them the night before. We have a recipe for regular (but also amazing) cinnamon rolls, too.
Buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwiches? YUM. If you don’t have time to make the biscuits from scratch, you can definitely use premade biscuits. We won’t tell!
Maybe you want cronuts to go with your breakfast casserole. Or maybe you just want cronuts. Either way, these are super easy to make.
You have to make The Loveless Cafe’s famous hashbrown casserole. A true classic.
Emma’s overnight baked blueberry oatmeal is one of our most popular recipes of alll time.
Desserts
Make Dad a batch of personalized cookies like these taco-themed sugar cookies. So cute!
If you’re looking for an easy recipe, this no-bake peanut butter pie is such a treat, and no-bake chocolate silk pie is too!
It’s ice cream season, and we have a recipe that combines two things we love: cobbler and blackberries.
Feeling brownies? Emma did a roundup of her favorites—see which ones made the list and pick one that Dad would love.
Trust us when we say these oversized soft-center chocolate chip cookies will not last long. One of the best cookies we’ve ever had!
